birmingham's vodka and ale house

first time...won't be the last!. we went of a friday eve, and it was very busy. we waited about 15 minutes for a table..no prob. our waitress was awesome. she answered all of our questions, brought our drinks quickly and was very courteous and friendly. we ordered the lobster clubhouse and a skirt burger with the v-chips..absolutely delish! super large servings, excellent food, great service and wonderful fun pub atmosphere!! i would definitely recommend it and plan on returning to try some other very appealing dishes!

drinks were good, appetizers were ok, main dish was meh. frozen chicken breast for blackened chicken? no thanks. for the same price i can have awesome. won't be back.

not good anymore. used to like the place.... good food etc. went there on saturday with a group after calling ahead and being told there should be no trouble getting in. arrived to a half hour wait. music too loud which is seriously a huge problem for a place that isn't a night club. also there was a group of super drunk old guys right by the front door, pretty much blocking entrance to the building. they were all smoking and just being loud and obnoxious. this isn't directly the fault of the establishment i know but seeing as how it's law that smokers can't be lit up that close to the building, and also the loud and smelly nuisance these guys pose to any potential customer, i'd hope that any self-respecting business would see that this isn't what they want patrons to encounter right outside their place, and would ask those guys to move. didn't happen. i see birmingham's becoming one of those dingy, sketchy pubs that no one wants to go to in a couple more years.

great bar with amazing drinks and food not bad at all...

i normally really like this place. but today it was awful. we waited 41 minutes for our food. when we mentioned it to both the waitress and food runner, we didn't even get an apology. we just got told that they had a big party in and it "screwed" them. very poor service. food was still very good.

a friend an i met for supper tonig at birmingham's . we split an order of v-chips ... they were tasty and addictive. i got an order of wings from "canada - maple & bacon".  while not overly large or tender, the sauce was good. leftover wing sauce ... really sweet but salty and chewy ... yum! shawna was craving chicken fingers and got a salad instead of fries.  the chicken tenders were huge!  and here we are ... shawna and i. it was great to see shawna and catch up!  i haven't seen her since i was in regina january . dayna was our server.  though efficient, she wasn't overly friendly.

i had a very bad experience the first time i visited and my second try was just as bad. the music is way too loud and the service is extremely poor. won't ever be going back.

never going back.. i went to birmingham's with some friends and the experience wasn't one i care to repeat. the place is overly loud, with both music and tv's on at all times, so expect to yell any time you need to be heard. like many of the previous posters we were paid almost no attention by our waitress. when she did come by to take our drink order, it was impossible to speak to her because of the music. she also refused to come around to my side of the table so i could hear her better, instead choosing to lean over my friend. it also took forever to flag anyone down to order food or more drinks because a bachelor party full of rowdy guys seemed to be taking up all of the attention. i wanted more than the two drinks i ordered but it was too much of a hassle to flag someone down. the food was good though. i really enjoyed my veggie burger and fries. the portions were huge. because of the bad service though, i won't be back.

go for food, not service. fun gimmicky menu, always leave full, but slow and at times less than knowledgable servers, it's not where i plan to sit and drink

first time i visited and it was quite lack lustre. did not help that waitress could not give any good drink recommendations let alone know where a drink menu was. the food was pretty standard. nothing truly exciting to go back for.

great wings. we had a group of eight people from work on a wednesday night. several people had the burgers, which are great value for the money. the skirt burger seems to be the favorite burger. anyone who had the caesar salad as a side raved about it.
the maple bacon wings were amazing. wings soaked in maple syrup and big chunks of bacon sprinkled with sea salt. definitely a hungry girl favorite.

the service was fast and friendly. our drinks were always filled and the girls were constantly checking on us.

i travel through regina about once a month and am glad i found this spot. i had the stuffed yorkeis as well as a bbq chicken salad. both were delicious and i do not say that lightly, i consider myself a yorkeis coniseur of sorts and these ones were great. i sat at the bar and the service was fast and friendly. the bartender was swamped as the restaurant was packed on a tuesday night, and he still served all his customers sitting at the wood promptly all while dispensing drinks for the wait staff. i'm in town for one more night and will eat here again tomorrow. can't wait to try a few more menu items out. oh ya and can't forget great selection of beer on tap.

great food but. the food at birmingham's is always good - i have yet to be disappointed, but the service there is slow at best. went there today with my best friend and we sat ourselves and were served pretty quickly but after that, we weren't waited on at all. no refills for drinks, no asking how the food was. finally we flagged down a food runner and got more drinks and ordered a desert.

good food, but if you're girls expect to be ignored.

yum!! great atmosphere and great food!! their in house made jolly rancher vodka is like drinking candy, and you can roast your own s'mores for dessert. dee-lish!!

never again. the first time we tried birmingham's, we had to wait nearly half an hour for a drink because they ran out of glasses at 7:30 pm on a saturday night.

our second visit, i booked the "private" room for a function, and by the time i got there at our reserved time, it was over half full of people we didn't even know, with only a table along the wall for our party. i had booked the entire room for that night. when i spoke to the manager, he asked me what i was going to do about it, and went on to imply that there would be "no need for any tantrums" when i voiced my concern that there may not be enough room for our guests. our reservations were for 6 pm and we had planned to stay until close, but after being treated like that by the floor manager, we waited for the bulk of the people to arrive and took our business elsewhere. the establishment lost about $1000 in sales from our group. serving staff and bartenders do their best with what they have to work with, but the management needs an overhaul. the food is decent, but this is definitely not an establishment i will return to.
