i ordered a cheese burger and bacon cheese fries. and i only got the burger, i called and told them the problem and they hung up on me. i just to get my bacon cheese fries.

food was pretty good. better than average. it was good but not great. i do think it is better than eat rite diner though. also the price is very cheap, even certain fast food restaurants are more expensive than this place.

dry o'brien potatoes with uncooked peppers/onions, giant dry biscuits with decent tasting gravy and no color on the regular hash browns which were cold

misleading pricing on meals. the two of us were in billy's the other day (1:30 pm'ish, end of april, 2015) and we ordered the bacon cheeseburger special written upon the 'daily' specials whiteboard. we also had water and coffee to drink. that's it. when we got the bill, it was over $18 for just the meal. waitress told me when i asked why so high that they added a surcharge for the bacon, and then added a surcharge for the cheese. how misleading. ever since new owners (if you know the owners, you know without saying what kind of reputation they have w/ their rental properties and their other businesses), patronage has dropped, and we can see why. we won't go in there any longer.

new to the city i've been ecstatic to try all the food. billies fine food has been my first breakfast since moving here. i ordered the big breakfast...2 eggs, bacon, potatoes, and a side of biscuits and gravy. my meal was mediocre at best. potatoes were over cooked, eggs were greasy, and the gravy was packaged. but there is a positive. my waitress was sweet and attentive. but if this is what st. louis has to offer me for dinning fare i should move else where.

this is some of the best breakfast food i've ever had. the service was also remarkable. i'd definitely recommend this place to any diner fan!

great value. my significant other and i ate breakfast at billie's this a.m. great value. great food. great service. the eggs were cooked perfectly. it's a diner, in the true sense of the word. no ambiance but delicious food and great service.

walking in you quickly realize that this diner is for real. no frills, your standard long counter with stools on one side and tables and booths filling the rest of the room.

what a diner should be. billie's is sort of a time capsule, a diner how you remember diners being like when you were a kid - the row of stools at the counter, pie in a glass case, naugahyde benches in the well worn booths. if it weren't for the new television and a few modern advertising signs, it could be any year there from 1945 on.

and the food is exactly what diner food should be - hot, standard, good and plenty of it. combined with some of the nicest waitresses and an owner with a good sense of humor and you've got a pretty great total package.
