great food, awesome staff my family and i have been eating here for years. i haven't tried the three pounder yet put have put the one pounder and two pounder down a few times really great food the selection is out-standing love it.....

hit or miss. i've gotta say. when it counts , this place let's you down. i order from here periodically. usually there's something missing or something done wrong. at the best of times everything is good. at the worst of times you ask for well done chicken wings , mozzys with dip and a chocolate milk and you'll be delivered soggy wings , mozzys with no dip and no drink in sight. it's frustrating to have to wait an hour or more just to get half of what your ordered. they do try and make it up by saying things like , " we will send the driver right back out " but ultimately that means , " wait another half hour at least to get the rest of your order " . fail. not worth the frustration.

this is a great place for friendly service and is now licensed . if you are looking for a comfortable , friendly clean place to go , come on over to big eds

their burgers are the best in hamilton. one of the only places that are open late to get food. the only issue i have ever had is that they get orders wrong on almost every meal.

i just can't say i have been impressed with this food. maybe it's just not my cup of tea. very fattening and greasy. the moontine is disgusting.
last time i was in here it resembled a dive bar. last time i ordered it took 45 min and my food came cold.

i have been going to big ed's for two years now and i have always had a really great experience  wile sitting in the restaurant. the staff are friendly and they give you great service and good comfort food too.
i highly recommend you try them out they have a new pool table and the bar is open until 2:00 am.

these negative comments are brutal , this place has never claimed to be some fancy dining establishment , they are always about comfort and making customers feel the same way there . they have struggled with staff issues , which may have resulted in mistakes , delivery service does take awhile, however doesn't matter whether you live around the corner or a few blocks away , there are other customers who placed there orders before yourself.

anyway bottom line is , new staff , fresh paint and liquor license . those doubters out there should give it a try .

had a burger was amazing. the service was great too, and now their fully licensed as well so have a drink!! next time definitely going to try that 3lb burger.

april 21st 2015. i walked into this cozy well established family dinning restraunt and was immediately greeted by personable laid back servers. i was offered a menu and a seat within seconds. then my order was taken i ordered a crispy chicken ranch wrap veggies with blue cheese dip. while my husband ordered a 1lbs big eds burger with onion rings.the food was given to us within a half hour in which time we were able to have quiet conversation. the restraunt was busy with the comings and goings of other patrons. who were either sitting themselves or picking up there meals. by the time our food was served i couldn't believe the sizes the burger was easily the biggest i had ever seen and it isn't even the biggest they serve. it is served on a soft kiefer style bun with fresh crisp lettuce juicy tomatoes either sliced or fried onions sliced dill pickles and an option of hot peppers and than whichever condiments you desire with fries however you are able to substitute this for anything else you would like for a very minimal additional fee. the wrap was filled to the brim with tasty fresh crisp veggies, loaded with cheese, chicken and generous sauce. the onion rings my husband ordered were cooked to perfection when i asked about how the burgers were made little ed explained to me that no fillers were used these heavenly burgers were simply lean ground beef and a secret mix of seasons. the taste of these burgers is unexplainable other than to say incredible and cooked to perfection. the atmosphere is cozy and family oriented there are large fish tanks to amuse kids or adults there is lots of seating friendly staff and quality food the best part is that by the time we received our bill it came to just over $25. you can't even eat at mcdonald's for that price anymore and this food long surpasses that in quality, taste and portion and the restraunt delivers locally for free or a very small fee if your outside there delivery area. of course there house special is something called a mootine it's a layer of creamy seasoned mashed potatoes layered with a tasty gravy with meatballs and then smothered with melted cheese a small could be a meal for a small appetite and the large is enough for two. if this is the type of food your looking for i strongly suggest big eds i will be a forever customer the menu has an assortment of food and the restraunt is open until 4 am so perfect for those late night cravings i wish i could give them 1000 stars but ********************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************** that's my opinion

delivery was very slow. food tasted freezer burnt. avoid this dump.

wtf. this place is hot fresh and sanitary,what the hell do you want in a family owned long term diner...my poutine was 90% cheese and awesome...nice diner food ////nuff said...dan m yles and onion rings...bomb...

great onion rings/great fries. ordered again there the other day,just a snack,onion rings and a poutine,well,onion rings were hot,crisp, and the container was so full it wouldn't hardly close....yummy....the poutine was also very hot,real gravy unlike queens pizza who pours gravy from a can onto your fries and then when questioned say"the hot fries will melt the cheese and heat the gravy"these guys put effort into the food and big ed himself is always there hanging over the railing in front watching the world go by while his son little ed carries on the family tradition of great food...love the place and i can see it from my window....try it out,don't get me started about the burgers...they are excellent!

exellent. i ordered 1lb of jumbo wings in honey garlic sauce,one large onion rings,and 1lb big eds burger ,,,,,this was the best food i have in my hood,these guys do you right,the food is fresh and tastes amazing...try this place out...my word,dan myles

rude service omg. i have tried this restaurant purely based on the reviews following the food. the food itself is greasy and moderately portioned. the service itself is appalling. i have never seen such an utter lack of respect for the customer in my life. i have never been to the establishment itself but i suggest getting a snack before ordering because there is an hour wait. there is a delivery fee added accompanying the long wait and no sense of responsibility following. the food is acceptable...the staff? not so much

the burgers rock! open until 4am on saturday and sunday.. makes for a great after party meal :d did i mention the burgers are amazing?

yuum. i would reccommend getting your food to go as it is hotter than when it is delivered. not to say it isnt worth the delivery, they are upfront and bring it to you. theres sooo much food too... the mootine rocks. so much to say, writing this review is making me hungry.
