not to be missed. this was my first visit to the burger joint, but it won't be my last, even though i live in cleveland. i strongly recommend the wellington burger. it comes with deep roasted mushrooms, onions and black truffles, and the perfect amount of special seasonings. pair it with fries topped with rosemary and parmesan cheese and you have a delicious meal you won't soon forget. add to this the very friendly staff and it's easy to see why this place is so well thought of by locals. try it and i'm sure you'll agree with my review of this gem of an eating spot. bill from cleveland.

7:00pm on a saturday, they had 3 people working the whole place. there was a pile up for ordering where each new customer was greeted with "gimme a minute." one person was working the grill and only got occasional help from the third person who ran the fryer and the milkshake station and the constant stream of carry out/deliveries. the greeter/cashier goes to get my beer, but the beer taps are blocked by a stack of binders so she has to walk around the end of the counter, into the milkshake station, and stretch across the counter to pull the beer, which is super foamy so it takes about a full minute to pull the beer.  which was warm.  our order came up in about 15 minutes so that was fine, but the rare burger was too rare, even for someone who enjoys rare.  the wellington garnishes and the bun were not remotely warm.  the fries are terrific, but also not hot.  so the quick turnaround relates to undercooking.  the trashcan was getting ready to disgorge itself and the bathroom was iffy.  the whole place looks like they are never getting around to thorough cleaning or organizing.  another customer complained about waiting for his fries as he saw other orders going out the door.  the complicated-demanding family in front of us actually returned a milkshake which makes no sense.  the manager, who turns out to be the greeter/cashier just laughed at the prospect of needing to schedule 5 or 6 people to work the saturday dinner shift.  sure they use top notch ingredients, but this visit supports the notion they are not managing their success very well.

blah. veggie burger fell apart, the onions were tasteless, and seasoning overall fell short. burger (meat) was a rip off for a plain burger. ten bucks or more would have gotten better food anywhere else. oh and there were bugs everywhere...

if i was allowed to only write one word for this review it would be "milkshakes." we got the milkshake of the month which was apple pie and it was delicious. the fries were also good and i got a burger with mushroom topping and it did not disappoint. the food was a bit pricey but it was also better than most burger joints and totally worth it.

skip the burger, stick to a milkshake. the burger was ok, good but nothing too special. however the chocolate shake was great and worth its own special mention!

spicy from the first bite, you’re getting shots of pepper jack cheese (that completely drapes the burger with melted perfection) and a peppery burger

worth a second chance. complained about getting carryout from the place and got a nice apology from the owner. said that carryout people should come straight to the front, so make sure you do that! will give the place a second chance, because the burgers and fries, when hot, are good.

don't order their carryout!. ordered two carryout burgers and an order of garlic fries. was told to pick them up in 10 minutes. got there and was forced to stand in line with people waiting to place orders, each of whom the cash register guy had to have a long chat with. moved slowly through the line knowing that the bag off to the side was my order. cash register guy made a joke of it and i left with two cold burgers and inedible fries--for almost $30 of my money. until these people can figure out how to handle carryout orders, they should not take them.

well-known restaurateurs seem to be flocking to the dc area to open burger restaurants. new york chefs danny meyer and bobby flay , as well as top cheftestant richard blaise are all headed this way with burgers and shakes. soon we may be over-saturated wi

great food. i had a basic burger, fries, and a milkshake. the burger is pretty good. the fries were hands down some of the best i've had anywhere. and the milkshake was the classic type - made with real ice cream and milk. without a doubt i will go back.
