7:00pm on a saturday, they had 3 people working the whole place. there was a pile up for ordering where each new customer was greeted with "gimme a minute." one person was working the grill and only got occasional help from the third person who ran the fryer and the milkshake station and the constant stream of carry out/deliveries. the greeter/cashier goes to get my beer, but the beer taps are blocked by a stack of binders so she has to walk around the end of the counter, into the milkshake station, and stretch across the counter to pull the beer, which is super foamy so it takes about a full minute to pull the beer. which was warm. our order came up in about 15 minutes so that was fine, but the rare burger was too rare, even for someone who enjoys rare. the wellington garnishes and the bun were not remotely warm. the fries are terrific, but also not hot. so the quick turnaround relates to undercooking. the trashcan was getting ready to disgorge itself and the bathroom was iffy. the whole place looks like they are never getting around to thorough cleaning or organizing. another customer complained about waiting for his fries as he saw other orders going out the door. the complicated-demanding family in front of us actually returned a milkshake which makes no sense. the manager, who turns out to be the greeter/cashier just laughed at the prospect of needing to schedule 5 or 6 people to work the saturday dinner shift. sure they use top notch ingredients, but this visit supports the notion they are not managing their success very well.
