everything is fresh and good like you're in your family's kitchen. . the chicken farm hoagie was perfectly grilled top with fresh sauce and cheese and then bake to a white crispy finish perfectly with homemade food like this i don't know how the big box stores even stay in business around here

hot headed owner.. while i was parking to go into bfg i received a phone call so i sat in my vehicle and took the phone call. as i was sitting in my vehicle the owner came out and began to scream and point at me, i luckily had my window up. unsure of what the whole ordeal was over as i was coming to eat there for the first time per the suggestion of a friend. but i will not be back whether the food is good or not. there is no excuse for being rude and disrespectful to patrons completely unacceptable.

best gyro in the city. john and the rest of the staff are great people serving great food at great prices. my crews favorite lunch spot when we/re in the area. try it

pittsburgh's best restaurant. the service is only outshined by their food! everything is fairly priced and made from scratch. they have a fantastic vegetarian menu in addition to all of the traditional greek food. the owner can always be found cooking in the kitchen and you can taste the passion in every dish.

a pleasant surprise!. we got carryout, but my boyfriend said the cashier and cook were both extremely nice. i got two chili cheese dogs and he got a gyro. the food was super cheap so he decided to get an order of cheese fries too. i am from detroit area, so i am rather particular about my coney dogs - and these did not disappoint! we were both extremely happy with our food and the value. i'm excited to try the pizza!

great place. surprisingly a great place. i had a large pepperoni pie, it was only $10 and i thought was just as good, if not better than mineo's or aiello's.

the best gyro in pittsburgh. i didn't expect too much from this place, but i was astonished at how good their classic gyro is. i think it's the best gyro in pittsburgh, and i know gyros. reasonable, big, excellent homemade sauce, tender, juicy meat, and a warm pita. you have to try it to believe it.

loved it!. this is a great addition to the neighborhood. the owner, john, is a great guy. the gyros are a nice size and very tasty. i visit this place at least once a week. a tip: don't order a side of fries unless you are very hungry or want to share with a friend. they aren't as ridiculously large as the "o" in oakland, but a small fry here is still too much for one person. if you want fries, i suggest you have them added to the inside of your gyro for only 25 cents more.

fantastic food at a great price... just what we need these days!!. i love the relaxed and calm atmosphere of this place. the owner is there everyday serving up delicious fare - the pizza is hands down fabulous - if you haven't tried it yet, you don't know what you are missing - and the gyros, hoggies, and dogs are all great too. great variety, taste, and value! the deserts are fantastic, all homemade and fresh. the cheesecake just divine. my new go-to spot ... even if i am not in the area!!

very tasty, and cheap!. i'm not sure how this place doesn't get more business. the food is really pretty good, especially considering the price. i got the classic gyro and it was overflowing with traditional ingredients, definitely not skimpy on the meat. and everything was extremely flavorful and juicy. i'll be going back, for sure. the atmosphere is very much of a take-out or lunch place, despite the relatively expansive seating area, so i probably wouldn't make it a date night or something. still, go to bfg!

best pizza. this is the best pizza in the east end, to me. better than mineo's or aiello's. the spinach and feta is great....

not to mention, it is so cheap...this should be more well known and will only get more popular once people see how nice the space is, how cheap the food is, and how great the pizza is. up and coming....

great place for gathering with friends!. my husband and three kids met up at the bfg cafe tonight with some friends, and we all had a fantastic (and inexpensive) dinner there. the kids loved the hot dogs, pizza, and three big white boards for coloring, the owner was so nice and attentive, and the food was delicious. the menu had something for everyone, including a grandma who had never tried a gyro before. the icing on the cake was the baklava - perfect. the cafe is really spacious, and we loved that there's room for large groups. we'll definitely be back!
