betty's beach cafe

considering its location and ocean view, it is surprising that this is an inexpensive restaurant. i don't know anyplace else in lahaina where you can get this view and eat this close to the ocean for prices this low.

we had a great time at this place plus we got a free luau show by the beach as it was beside one of those places that does it. just roughly less than 10-minute ride from where we stayed this place is one of the few places you can unwind and have lots of beer and party. unlike honolulu where on every corner there is a bar here in maui you will have to drive to visit one.

fabulous food and excellent service. hate to write a great review because people may start showing up and over whelming the establishment.

the girls are rude, food is mediocre. the only thing nice is the view. the worst part of my vacation was coming to this place. and also it's expensive we went to restaurants down the road with good views of the water and spent less money for better food and happy servers....i don't even need a happy server just not a bitchy one.

the awesome view from the porch it's worth by itself a stop at this place. having breakfast looking at the blue sea is something unique. the service was also kind and the food fair. suggested for a peaceful breakfast on the beach

let’s get right to the best part:  at dinner at betty’s beach cafe you can see the show of the feast at lele luau free!  betty’s is on the ocean side of the 505 shopping center in lahaina, immediately behind that luau, with open windows behind the luau audience, facing directly at the show and the ocean.  phone betty’s at 808-662-0300.

nice little breakfast spot. wife and i had breakfast at betty's this morning. i had the special, which was a breakfast burrito stuffed with egg, onions, cheese, chilis and chorizo along with a side of home fried red potatoes. the burrito was tasty and executed well. it was also as hot as the corona of the sun (not a criticism), so i had to open it up to let it cool off before i could eat it. the potatoes were good, but needed a few more minutes of cook time to soften up a bit more.

my wife had the granola and yogurt, which was very tasty, though she needed to ask for a second helping of yogurt because there was so much granola.

definitely a candidate for a repeat visit.

scott on maui re betty's pupus.... while betty's is very good for breakfast--as long as you don't request any alterations from the menu--their pupus really suck! we had friends fly over from seattle and met them at betty's for pupus and drinks. our waitress was very nice, the drinks were good, the pupus were stone cold and she didn't offer to do anything about it! go elsewhere for pupus!

dont ask to substitute fruit or veggies instead of potatoes...they thought we were tourists and gave us a speech about how expensive tomatoes are here on maui...and that it would be an additional $2 to substitute. haven't they heard of costco? they did this the last time we had breakfast here...an extra $2 for extra onions in the omlette!! maybe its time to look for a new "favorite" place. they're obviously doing too good here now to pay attention to customer service!!!

breakfast favorite.... our favorite place for breakfast. good food. good service. great view right on the ocean. prices are right, too. another maui must-do.

great location. ate here a few weeks ago while vacationing in napili. going in we didn't realize the view this place had - incredible sunset view. they start you off with some chips and salsa. the salsa was good, a little spicy for some of the children with us but good. i ordered the fish tacos which were very solid. everyone else was very happy with their meals as well. service was good, even though they were understaffed that evening. very attentive and pleasant young lady took care of us from making sure our glasses were filled to clearing our plates. she was working very hard but stayed happy the whole time.

quite the hookup. we came at 6 pm so we could watch the sunset. the server was happy to delay our orders a bit to allow is to see the sunset and the luau right behind the restaurant. we asked to add fish to the nachos and again this was no problem. good service, good view and good food.

great place for breakfast. avoid the resort/hotel overpriced breakfast and hit betty's! great food, great prices and great views! it's hard not to recommend this place! great find.

great little oceanside cafe! we got tired of the hotel buffet every morning and went down to betty's for breakfast. best breakfast of our trip so far, at half the cost! definitely recommended if you're near lahaina.

amazing!!. the food is great and cheap for the island of maui. service is great and you get to watch a free luau every night. awesome drinks and one of the best happy hours i found on the island! sunday is bottomless mimosas for $10 and is so much fun!
