ambiance low, food high. stopped in bernie's on an early tuesday evening. didn't expect a crowd and there wasn't, so sitting in the cavernous room is a tad lonely. the furnishings are nothing fancy, but they do match the warehouse feel of the room. the large window lets in a lot of natural light, a pleasant change from a lot of bars. what was very good was the food and beer selection. this is why one goes anyway. the duck confit flatbread was wonderful. with sage cream sauce, roasted onions, maple leaf duck confit, brie, cranberries and spinach, this was a delight. not what i expected. the buffalo sweat stout was a great pairing. i'll be back.
