love!. great place for birthday parties with its large open space. bar staff is very knowledgable on beers.
pizza and artichoke dip is awesome! you may need to ask for extra bread since they give you so much dip. we love the wild mushroom pizza , and duck confit. cool exposed brick walls with twenty foot ceiling and need murals. can go dressed up or in shorts and t-shirt!

ambiance low, food high. stopped in bernie's on an early tuesday evening. didn't expect a crowd and there wasn't, so sitting in the cavernous room is a tad lonely. the furnishings are nothing fancy, but they do match the warehouse feel of the room. the large window lets in a lot of natural light, a pleasant change from a lot of bars. what was very good was the food and beer selection. this is why one goes anyway. the duck confit flatbread was wonderful. with sage cream sauce, roasted onions, maple leaf duck confit, brie, cranberries and spinach, this was a delight. not what i expected. the buffalo sweat stout was a great pairing. i'll be back.

a great time. i went out for dinner on a saturday night here with my family. i had read reviews and knew that i wanted to try to duck confit flatbread. i was great! very rich, earthy, and balanced. the spinach and artichoke dip was divine but we ran out of bread and had to ask for more. i highly recommend this place!

beer & duck pizza!. love bernie's tap room. you can get the best beers on tap....so many to choose from and though the menu is not huge, the food is soooooooo good. try the duck confit pizza...you will not regret it....it's amazing!! love the big wooden table...feels like a german beer hall. hoping with a little more establishing that they'll put a little more money in the decor. it cold be one of the coolest and best places in southeastern wi with just a few more tweaks.

oh and for the person who knocked "tap" wine, they know nothing about wine these days. if you go down to the rompus room it's all rage and will set you back $12 not $8...it's a deal and it's delicious!

just go and try it!!!!!

great place!. i've been to bernie's a few times and it keeps getting better. it was clear they were trying to find an identity for the place when it first opened. the walls were bare and the place felt kind of empty. i went back december 14th and it has a lot better feel to it now. the big projector looks great on the wall surrounded by all the beer signs that weren't there previously and there were nice christmas decorations hanging around during our last visit. the pizza was much better and for the first time i decided to try the giant pretzel. they weren't kidding! it's huge. my wife enjoys the wine on tap. which i've only seen previously in california, but my wife says it's nice because it keeps the wine fresh no matter when you come in. who knows, i don't drink it, but the reason i keep coming back is the selection of beers on tap. i've come 4 times over the last 3 months and every time there has been at least 1-2 new beers to try. the owner is very friendly and whenever i'm in town it'll always be a top consideration.

a little disappointing. we are cheerleaders for downtown waukesha, and have waited long for this restaurant to open. unfortunately, our first visit wasn't very good. yes, they have a great selection of regional beers. however, the wine selection left a lot to be desired. $8.00 a glass for "tap" red wine. and for the food... we ordered pesto flat bread that could have been bought at any frozen food counter for a third of the price. we will try again, and hope the food improves.
