excellent place for lunch with kids, family and friends. i always avoid the lounge as i never had good experience. their lunch menu is quite good, they have chicken, shrimp, scallops and fish. they have sushi bar as well. their hibachi shrimp and chicken are good. for a couple of dollars more one can order the combo. veggie fried rice and salad are included in the lunch menu. for a dollar more could get chicken fried rice and it tasted really good.
our chef,this time, was an asian and he did a good job at cooking on the grill. part of the cooking is to keep one seated around the table entertained with few funny gestures and food formations on the grill. kids and first timers would definitely enjoy this style. these are common at any benihana restaurant.
we shared our table(seats eight) with an other family as we were only three. i ordered hibachi shrimp with chicken fried rice and was lucky to get it quickly. usually, they cook chicken & beef together and i do not eat beef. prefer to order shrimp if anyone orders beef as shrimp is grilled immediately after fried rice and then chicken and steak are done. i avoided eating grilled vegetables (cooked after steak was done) though. my shrimp was grilled with extra garlic butter and tasted very good with ginger and mustard sauce. i enjoyed my meal.
service is below average though one may find the dining experience at the grill table enjoyable. on weekends it gets really crowded and they do not entertain small groups. most people go there for birthday parties, its a good experience for kids.
