so benihana's was my always go to spot especially the one in edison nj. i figured to try the one in cherry hill since its still a chain restaurant. the food tasted the same but the biggest issue was the wait. it took over an hour for the chef to come and then him constantly leaving to grab other items that were not with him. its ridiculous because usually all food that is getting prepared would be on his tray but he had no sauces and was missing food items. the waiter barely came around and even the chef left to look for her. if i could leave 0 stars i would. i get places get busy but even the edison benihana's was busy but it never took over an hour for a chef to come. the chef was lost even when he was making the food. i was supposed to get noodles and rice and only got one. he obviously did not read our requests. they even handed us the check after the food just got prepared to basically get us out of there.

great hibachi experience. the hibachi chefs at benihana put on an entertaining show, but more importantly: they are masters at what they do. i think that my family has sampled every hibachi dish on their menu by now, and i can honestly say the food is perfectly prepared every single time we've dined there. i lean toward the chicken, fish, and seafood selections while my husband is a beef-eater through-and-through. the adjective "succulent" comes to mind. no matter what we order, it's tender, juicy...never, ever dry and over-cooked. the accompanying sauces enhance the food; they don't overpower the selection or disguise it. if you have room, be sure to try their desserts which end a wonderful meal on a delightful light note!

great evening!. my wife and i enjoyed a fabulous dinner & presentation that was well executed by the shu chef. alot of famous faces pass through there as well...but the food in my mind was the true star of the show.

amazing service and great food! a definite can’t miss stop in nlr! took parents for 50th wedding anniversary and it didn’t disappoint. took special care of all our family.

this place is awesome! we have always had fantastic service here and the owner, shapur, is super friendly, remembers us and usually shows us special treatment. i have also never seen an owner who not only waits tables but will set them up and bus them with his staff!

but this isn't even that best part- the food here is delectable: melt in your mouth steak (that is so good it tastes the same the next day as leftovers), succulent, fresh scallops, popping shrimp and crisp and savory veggies.

love it here and will keep bringing our friends over and over!

place was well organized and the chef was quite presentable but the food was not up to the expectation..just worth one visit if i'd like to see ur food prepared right in front of u.

also, u may want to skip visiting the place if ur a vegetarian or vegan

awful! very disappointed.. food had no flavor.. we waited 45 minutes for chef to start cooking and we had reservations! waster of time and palette!

was pretty good great, mango ice tea and fried rice with eggs learned to make it just by watching the chef. had a lot of celeb pics on the wall.

i was not impressed!!! no yum yum (pink sauce) or anything!!! food was dry to me i had to find an alternative to not feel like i was swallowing dry rice! on the good side the manager was awesome in accommodating use during our meal!!! gave us free apps and desserts to compensate for the main meal not being so great! the sushi was awesome! i would recommend the sushi!

great valentines dinner. we went to benihana's on friday feb 13th for valentines day. we had a reservation at 6:30, we were a tad early and they immediately sat us at a table. zack was our chef and he was personable and well prepared and our meal was great. zack was very thoughtful and took special care to engage the children at our table. the food was fabulous! my husband was even talking about how great our meal was the next day.

called yesterday to book a table for 8 people and were told they do not take reservations. we arrive at 11am to be told it will be 25 minute wait. i large group who arrived after us were seated before us and when we inquired we were told they had reservations. we were seated after one hour. the table next to us rec'd their drinks, salad and food before us and they came in after us. when we complained to the manager he said 'sorry due to holiday but he was sending his best chef'. had to ask for refills and wait on bill while the table was cleared. food was good, service poor, management useless. will not return!!!

unhappy guest. this is an over rated restaurant, the prices are extremly off the charts....do not order fried rice, it's gooey, sticky and taste awful. i had a call in order and still had to wait as if i had just placed my order. i will not be going back ever..

benihana is way overrated!!! we would always chose this restaurant "back in the day". their professionalism is poor. i witnessed the hostess demand a 8 year old child to move over to the other side. this was b/c she wanted to seat other guest but she spoke rudely. all they see is dollar signs. i visited the restaurant for my birthday after signing up for the chef' table online. i even went there the week before and since it was so busy she rudely said that we could sit in the bar area. it was two adults and two kids sitting at a mini table. we got up and left after 15 mins of waiting for a server. we then went back for my birthday to experience another havoc!! i will not be attending there again!! personally seki sui is much better. nice atmosphere and the food even tastes better. benihana's only get majority of it's business b/c they're downtown. seki sui is in wlr. clean, calm, and enjoying atmosphere that genuinely treat there customers with respect!!

definitely on a higher price scale but you get an awesome environment with quality food. if you want the same food but less of a bill, then try crazy hibachi or kanpei.
