benaddiction brunch on wheels

saw this place from a posting by a friend. i was in the area and decided to stop in for breakfast with my son. at first i was a little disappointed because i was expecting a food truck .the restaurant had a kick back and enjoy feeling. the gentleman waiting on us was prompt, very nice and helpful. we ordered a lowrider, (chorizo and egg potato and cheese burrito) and an egg man (build your own omelette that came with a side of hashbrowns), and one coffee.

my burrito was pretty large, flavorful, but in my opinion the potatoes were a under cooked... his omelette was cooked pretty much to perfection, not overly done, however the potatoes were overly done in my opinion. cost was just under 20 bucks.

i would try again if i was in the area, just to try eggs benedict specifically . but our breakfast experience was pretty much just ok.

when you have the chance to take it easy on a sunday morning, you force yourself to sleep until 10am (even if it means waking up three times between 6am and 10am, and having to read while lying down in order to get sleepy again) and obviously take advantage of sunday brunch. my train/bus back to la was leaving at 2pm, so my sister and i wanted to have one more meal together before i had to go. we soon learned that a lot of restaurants and cafes are closed in fresno on sundays, at least the ones we wanted to go to, but there was an ample selection of breakfast/brunch destinations. benaddiction was one of them (a brunch place that actually began as a food truck), and we ultimately decided on them based on their variety of benedict plates.

but on to reason for being...the food.. oh man.. are you kidding me? i am like a schoolgirl with a new crush.. i shared a "joker", salmon, avocado, perfectly runny egg, hollandaise and bacon, on a toasted english muffin. that salmon, wow..perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned. great bacon, lovely avocado..every ingredient tasty and just right. i would advise lots of napkins for this one though.. it's a messy sandwich!
