excellent.. here a few times and one of our best food and excellent service place. the food is soooo good and we have nothing left in our plates every time. the deserts are so yummy.

to this date, the gnocci i had at bella's is the best i've ever eaten. so light and fluffy, like eating a cloud! the service is amazing and the servers are very knowledgeable about food and wine pairings. i recommend coming here for a romantic date!

excellent as usual. we have never been disappointed.  the food has always been fresh, delicious and nobody in ottawa can match bellas`s sauces. they are simply the best we have ever had.  i challenge anyone in the city to tell me otherwise.  all of the veal dishes are fabulous as well as the pasta dishes.  this restaurant has been our favourite for past 15 years and will continue.  do yourself a flavour and check it out.

my boyfriend is italian and convinced me to come to this place. now i understand why he did it. it really is a place where you can enjoy a good meal. despite their amazing appetizers, i like a smaller menu. it's a little expensive but worth it. for my boyfriend and me was a romantic evening. good one guys!!

bella's bistro is as fabulous and consistent as ever. we have been patrons of this great family run bistro for 20 years. we have never had a bad experience. they were only open a week or two the first time we went to bella's and it has remained one of our favourites through the years. we were there this week to celebrate my husband's birthday. we had a great waitress, a wonderful meal and our evening was most enjoyable. our thanks to the chef and the great staff. regards, patricia and shawn mcmahon

not a great bella's bistro experience!. my two sons and i went to bella's for one of my son's birthdays, a few days ago (aug 22 to be precise). service was very slow; certainly in between courses, we got hungry. an order of veal turned into an order of chicken, and when the waiter admitted this, he didn't even suggest to take the cost off the final bill. only when i went to pay, and insisted that, "when i order veal , i expect veal" (i had to repeat this about 4 times before the ditzy, but admittedly friendly waitress, seem to understand what i was saying). when comprehension dawned on her, and one could see it slowly cross her blank face, she grabbed the bill and flounced off, saying she'd get the item taken off the bill. what a disappointment for me! did she think i was (a) too drunk -- yes, i had grappa and wine -- to notice that the food delivered was not what was ordered?, or (b) too stupid, complacent or compassionate of her life situation (whatever it was) to say anything (i.e., complain), or (c) something else entirely? restaurant managers, fyi, when you realize a wrong dish was served to a patron, you must at least offer some kind of compensation -- even if the delivered dish was good. do not pretend that all is well, and that no one will notice. we do notice!!! sincerely, anita, phd

great service and food. we ate on the patio area on friday night, our waiter was attentive and friendly even though they were busy. charming little restaurant with delightful food. they bring awesome bread before your meal!

outstanding service. i had a big family dinner here and we were treated like family as soon as we walked in. some of the best service and food i've had in ottawa. the seafood linguine was so good i may have it again next time.

rude service, mediocre food, over priced.. went for supper with a couple of friends and i will not be going back.
service was rude, inattentive, and huffy. the waiter seemed annoyed that we were there, huffy that we weren't ordering quickly enough, and irritated that we bothered to ask a question about the food.
i ordered a ceasar salad and it came with 1, yes 1, prepackaged crouton. my pasta was lukewarm and not very tasty. waiter never checked on us.
don't waste your money- much better elsewhere.

incredible food and service. our table was waited on attentively and the food was top notch. it was a special get together for family and bella's made it a great event. highly recommend!

lunch for my birthday. my sisters took me to bella's today for lunch....my choice of restaurant. we were all disappointed. i had manicotti which was bland and micro waved. my sisters had penne with sausage and bland, so so. very surprising. i have never had a bad meal there. quite disappointed as this was a special day:(

still magnificent. it has been a number of years since we dined at bella's in our neighbourhood. last night's meal made me question why we hadn't been back sooner. our party of 5 was very pleased with the quality of the service and all of our meals were absolutely excellent. the rack of lamb and lobster stuffed raviolis were especially sumptuous. bellas surpassed many of the upstarts that have popped up in westboro, in my opinion. it will be our new "go to" restaurant for a great dining experience. laurie

bella is simply brilliant. without hesitation i brought a foodie from vancouver. there was not a morsel left on their plate as i did battle with one of the largest filets i have seen. i always feel guilty ordering beef until i rediscover her cognac reduction.

a suggestion bella perhaps a multi course table d hote on saturday with paired wine flight. it might give your very talented servers a chance to work on finding the perfect wine pairing.
