i am in love!!! i love that they roast their own coffee, definitely worth the drive out to paarl for me and i would recommend you make the trip ;). passionate owners that were very attentive. big things ahead with passion and love like that. we got to taste most of their coffee varietals as well as their house blend. see my pics for the coffee menu we tried. great coffee, i have mine black. menu looks great, and we got to sample some delicious salads followed by their smoothies. the mushroom and herb polenta dish, asia chickpea and cauliflower salad and sweet potato bacon balls were delicious. i highly recommend you have these. a great experience overall and i'll be back soon...

yesterday was my second visit to bean in love - like the first time, i was impressed with their variety of gifts for sale. all types of rusks, biscuits, nougat sweets and even flowers.
there are outdoor seating as well for the summer days and a small fenced play area for kids on the side of this old building situated in the main rd of paarl.

since they have on site coffee roasting facilities, you get the smell of fresh coffee, pretty much any time you walk in
they recently launched a new salad menu - this is not your average green salad many places has on offer, but rather some luxury salads. all of them explode with taste and flavour.
you can either choose a plate with three or five scoops, out of a total of 7 available. then you may also add one protein at extra cost. the meat on offer was a honey & mustard pork banger or a stuffed chicken breast. i had the banger and it was great. note on one of my attached images, the fried veggie ball.. that was really special. it consists of mashed sweet potato with bacon pieces & spring onion. very filling and delicious.
being a proper coffee roastery, they have a wide range of different coffee beans on sale and to choose from the menu. add to that a spread of cakes, tarts on display then you have already a good excuse to visit them.
i also had a taste of their range of smoothies, both the blueberry and gingerbread were great. still deciding which one was my favourite. let's just say i finished both.

what a beautiful gem of a coffee shop. i love the light and simple interior as soon as you walk in. their salad bar is a treat - choosing from a variety of different salads and you can add a protein (feta stuffed chicken or honey and mustard pork bangers). they roast their own coffee - the smell alone is incredible. the smoothie shots - the gingerbread one was fantastic. they also offer red cappuccinos and lattes - perfect for the non caffeine drinkers. you can also buy flowers from them - which is always a treat buying flowers to take home. if only i lived closer to go all the time.

not a good experience today - my toasted sandwich didn't come with the avo that i ordered, and an omelette that was also at my table didn't come with the tomato ordered either. the waitress didn't even come back after giving our food to ask us if the food was ok. the cheese on the omelette and toasted sandwiches was so bland, you had to put so much salt on for a good taste (and i'm not a very big salt user at all). after we ate, it took over 30min for our waitress to clear our plates away and then she just left.... which left us sitting for about another 20min waiting for her. eventually we just decided to pay at the front counter. we also ordered 2 pieces of cake for a takeaway, and only after it had been packaged were we told that it was r2 each for the boxes. since when do people have to pay for takeaway boxes?!!! and it's not that i mind paying that much (but still ridiculous, this is the first i've heard of it), but some warning would be nice before it gets put in! anyway, very average food & inattentive, manner-less staff.

i don't often venture to the paarl region, but taking the time to visit this lovely little spot was definitely worthwhile. bean in love represents the more modern establishments that are popping up in the area; whilst offering a trendy 'urban' ambiance, it still retains the classic homeliness and humility of the old 'dorpie'. this is also true of their menu items, which we were fortunate enough to sample at our zomato meetup. the newer meals appeal to those seeking a healthy but hearty bite to eat, and they certainly deliver. making our way through the new buffet-style salad bar, we tried various kinds of tasty treats, which were fresh, flavoursome, and surprisingly filling. for dessert, we indulged in equally wholesome smoothie 'shots'; i particularly enjoyed the blend of refreshing, unmasked, natural flavours. to top it all off, we ploughed through their diverse range of coffees, which include delicious blends and rich single-origin roasts. the service throughout our visit was also faultless, and i felt welcomed and well looked after from beginning to end. so, if you ever find yourself in paarl with a craving for a tasty treat, or a niggling for some hot, roasted goodness, i'd highly recommend popping in to bean in love.

amazing, huge food portions. the best cappa outside of cape town, will come back every time i'm in paarl! come and visit this place, you won't be disappointed :)

a lovely little spot in the centre of paarl. such great aromas always.the food good and they have a lovely selection of confectionaries. it gets a little hot inside in summer with little ventilation upstairs. service is also a little slow the few times i've been there. their bathroom area is a little disappointing as it can be an awkward wait in the cue.

the coffee is excellent. it is worth a visit and have a look inside. you will definately leave with some coffee beans. the croissant with bacon, fig, rocket and mozarella was average. it was a bit too much toasted and i would suggest replacing the mozarella with brie cheese for a better taste.

quaint little gem with amazing coffee and a pick me up breakfast . french inspired and unique. the ambiance took you to a cafe in provence while you sip your cappuccino and clean up the crumbs from your croissant.

such a disappointment. slow and unfriendly service with attitude from both the waiters and manager. will most definitely give it a skip next time.

we have been here on a saturday before going to a festival. the service was great and really friendly, the decor inside just absolutely cute and cozy. we ordered a lot of wraps, salads, omletts, fruit salads, smoothies, coffee and they were all delicious. we definately wanna come back!
note though, that they close at 2 pm

great service and fresh food ! the layout is awesome !!! the place is alway buzzing with customers ! i had the breakfast wrap , scrambled egg with avocado and sweet chili . a great choice ! usually the eggs are not seasoned or dried out , but bean in love had it perfect this time ! the coffee freezo was really good . they also sell home made goodies and fresh breads and pastries ! u must try !the gingerbread man is so good !!

good food, lovely location and great service. i had the burger (which was so filling and delcious that i had to take half home with me) and hubby had the grilled beef sandwich. they have a number of milkshake flavours so obviously we had to try one. the banana caramel was recommended and enjoyed while hubs tried the red espresso (which i found surprisingly nice). the restaurant was quite busy despite the fact it was a week day and pouring with rain so it's the kind of place people return to again and again and i will be one of them. i have to try the romany cream milkshake next time.

i absolutely love this place! after three years i still get excellent service & have never had any problems. their nutella milkshake is adductive!
