the food was very tasty, the atmosphere was fun, the service was good! it was neat to see surfers on the tvs, but the music was a little too loud. it's nice to be able to talk with your family/friends, but the loudness of the music made that quite difficult. but, still highly recommend!

called in here for dinner after quickly unpacking. great staff and really tasty food. lots of great burgers and fantastic choice of beer.

great restaurant. the ahi burger was fantastic. loved the wasabi mayo sauce that was on it. not too spicy. the burger also had wasabi peas on it. tasted great. also, the shrimp skewers as an appetizer was a great choice. likes the restaurant and the food. fair prices and good service. would return.

bare back grill, a new zealand-influenced  beach-side bar and grill located in san diego’s pacific beach will be selling it’s limited-edition “wake bake” stainless steel mug with any tapped beer purchase for $12.  mug purchasers will be able to bring their mug back into bare back grill and enjoy $5 tapped beers for the rest of march and all through april. customers can also add a t-shirt to their mug purchase to show off their bare back grill pride for only $10 more.

lamb burger was delicious. sweet pickled beets were a nice touch. i also liked the skinny crisp fries with wasabi aioli.

the kiwilango burger came with a 100% organic beef burger, bleu cheese crumbles, fresh diced jalapenos, lettuce, tomato, red onion, hot sauce, aioli, bbg sauce, and topped with crushed tortilla chips. the jalapenos added a little kick to the burger and the tortilla chips added a nice light crunch. while different, this burger was loaded with a great variety of flavors that went very well together.

great lunch special. my wife and i tried the downtown location for lunch the other day and we we're both very happy with what we got. the special is a burger, fries and beer or a soda for 10.99. we're anxious to try their happy hour special-$2 sliders and beer.

bare back was our first stop of the night. while we unwrapped out burgers immediately inside the car after receiving our order, we were surprised to find the buns already beginning to get soggy. the thickness of the buns saved them from being a total mush
