my fave go-to. the food is great. i love the crew. service is awesome. price is decent. the vibe is such a chill, not the place for drama. significantly pleasing compared to what i paid for.

it's my 1st time to visit their restaurant to eat one of the best dishes they have the grilled squid. my friends would always bring me grilled squid everytime they would drop by in umm al quwain. so i went there today to have our dinner so i can dine in and have my favorite dish. sadly, after 1hr and 30min drive to their restaurant the much a waited dish that i have been waiting for was served and i was so disappointed, fist of all there was a big size of wax paper or plastic like texture in the squid don't know where it came from how it end up in my squid, secondly taste was not the same as i've remembered and lastly how the manager insisted it was an onion skin just to resolve the issue and everything's alright so after that i complained to the staff and manager and have a huge doubt how clean and how attentive the kitchen staff are in the dishes or food that they prepare and food that they serve. i lost my appetite after this and end up leaving their restaurant disappointed and i felt that safety and hygiene wise my rating for this restaurant is beyond poor rating to me. but i would like to say the staff tried their best to resolve the issue but i just don't trust anything that's coming out from their kitchen anymore. and manager was so unprofessional for insisting that it was an onion skin, for the love of god, trying to convince us its onion skin which i know and he knows it's not. but still paid for my bill.

be careful and don’t go at 8:45 as restaurant doesn’t want to serve you food even though they close at 10pm.

we got into a fight in this restaurant because of those arrogant drunk locals drinking haram alcoholic drinks in their restaurant. the local guy gave a small paper (pls see attached) to my 11 year old sister and he almost touched her but the good thing my friend saw it and when he approached the guy, the local friends attacked my friends and the employees were scared to help coz those people are their regular costumer. one employee ripped the paper that the local guy gave to my little sister but we took it from him. i have proof that my friends are in bad shape because of those local guys. the employees did not help us (only one lady told us to have a complain in the security, thank you) but the rest of them doesn’t care!! they let those local people eat their food after the fight while we were outside waiting for the police but even the police did not help us coz the people involved are locals! i am very frustrated on how the management handled the situation knowing that they are offering an acoholic drinks. they did not help us, good thing the security guys in the hotel helped us but not the barako grill management. (not even a word from them) not safe here..

the food is authentic filipino food. the servings are for 2-3 persons. they were busy during the weekends hht they tried their best to serve the customers as soon as possible. gloria has been very enthusiastic in taking our orders compare to the other lady which was not accommodating at all. that's why i only gave 4* rating. they should scceoy order on the table to avoid the counter to be busy and its an additional comfrot to the customers.

i would drive all the way from dubai over and over again for the grilled pusit (squid)...best in dubai and second best after the one i ate in tacloban, philippines.. loved the filipino vibes... great food and they serve alcohol (at a very reasonable price) for those who are interested.. the athe (sister in tagalog) who served us was very efficient as well. will be back again soon !!

the food was well prepared, hot and visually presentable. it is your filipino type of food at home and nothing really to rave for. it was okay. the 4 stars was for the overall presentation and taste of the food.

this is what i love about in that place. sherwin was a dear. he was very helpful, pleasant and attentive. from the moment i made my reservation thru phone up to the billing out he was fantastic. he has this aura of not getting tired. i think theyarewell taken cared for there. which is good, it reflects in their service.

i have to admit the facade wasn’t great and the front door was stuck. i had to exert serious effort to open it. it needs to be fixed. i love the idea of a non smoking area that is air conditioned with an outside view. it was nice.

value for money ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
it was worth it specially for the service they have. keep and take good care of sherwin, he is a gem. :)

this has to be 5 star alone for the value for money

lets call it authentic, its a low budget place, but still pretty decent garden and clean interior, can't complain

food

we had shrimps and fish, which was all great.
i could have used a different sauce for the fish, as it was basically just oil, but i used the sauce from the shrimps which was delicious, so all good.

a bottle of beer was 12dhs, so vaue is great. of course they have the supply right next door, so tha helps.

service was also super attentive, so will surely come back

one of my to-go-to filipino restaurant in uae. i’ve been here in barako a couple of times and have not been disappointed. a place for family and friends to enjoy while having good food. if you love bands, billiards, and karaoke this is the place you should visit in the north area.

as for the food, they serve filipino dishes. everything here is great. we tried bihon guisado, pork sisig, lechon kawali, buffalo wings, crispy pata, pork dinuguan, beef bulalo, pork bbq. we enjoyed all of the dishes and they come in big servings too.

their staff attended to all our needs and were all very courteous. two thumbs up!

will definitely come back to try other food in their menu 👌
