traditional family pizza house in trendy suburb. the decor is a little out of place. long wait for a table, but waitstaff were attentive and warm. two of us ate here and especially enjoyed the rick's pizza special, with bolognaise. they need a good italian wine list to complement the hearty comfort food. bill was under $ 50, a steal for inner sydney.

bar reggio at 135 crown st darling hurst is  a very genuine italian trattoria / pizzeria
which will make you think that you are back it italy .
it is friendly, casual dining ;but the food is anything but casual .
choose anything on the the menu .you will not be disappointed .
its byo &  bookings are a must on weekends .
the staff are friendly & helpful & one is not kept waiting.
long lunches are encouraged here.
the servings are large & the salads are fabulous.
the only problem is wondering what to choose .
here one is spoilt for choice.
when in sydney , if you are pining for italian food ,
hurry as fast as you can to this heavenly bit of italy.

great atmosphere, amazing food. last night was the third time i have visited bar reggio and i have not been disappointed once. the staff are genuine and delightful, the atmosphere is buzzing and the food is divine. every time i go, i think i will finally order something i don't love- but alas.
favourite restaurant hands down.
the muscle risotto, marinara pasta and bolognaise pizza are amazing

amazing. i've been here twice and it was delicious both times. atmosphere is great if you're okay with a bit of noise and hustle & bustle. service is friendly and quick. try the mussels they are to die for.

never fails. bar reggio has to be one of my favourite italian restaurants in sydney. i've been coming here for at least 10 years and it has never disappointed. the food is traditional italian, very tasty, generous servings, great price and prompt and friendly service. they are very busy and depending what time you arrive, you may have to line up for a while if you haven't made a booking however the wait is well worth it. the pizzas are amazing, my favourite would be the bar reggio - garlic prawns with a hint of chilli, all the pastas are delicious, the meat dishes are always great too. i don't have one bad word to say about this place but i can see how some people wouldn't like the atmosphere because it can get very noisy inside but they have outdoor seating too. if you want no fuss, traditional italian food, well priced and friendly service, give this place a go, it is definitely worth it.

best pizza in town!. we've been regulars at bar reggio for over 3 years now - good pizza, good prices and byo. even better now that you can book ahead, which wasn't always the case. yum!

we ordered a garlic cheese pizza as a starter to share - it never arrived. my friend got his lasagna 15 minutes before the rest of the table received their pizza. my palmer street pizza came to the table missing the pineapple. the waiter told me he was simply doing his job. the pizza was taken away and brought back with uncooked cold pineapple added to it. my friends then asked if it could be cooked as i was too embarrassed. the pizza came back after it had been grilled. i only ate two slices as it was like eating dry crisp toast. as we were leaving the waiter apologised and gave us a $5 credit on the bill. as a local, i’ve eaten at bar reggio many times over the years. it’s usually great however this time it was shocking

sausage porcini pasta was amazing!! and the portion was huge as well. ordered the marinara pizza and the pizza crust base was incredibly crispy and i was so in love with it too. we were really full after. also had the tiramisu cake and ricotta cheesecake, and the ricotta cheesecake was one of the best cheesecakes i’ve ever had. it was incredibly rich. everything was perfect. service was great as well.
