the bank is a well established bar/restaurant that has served up super cocktails and excellent food since as far back as i can remember!

it hasn't lost its touch!

good music goes well with good food and good friends. there's a wide selection of hearty offerings from steaks and fish and chips to some lovely loaded salads...great venue for a night out, bar service was excellent, but the restaurant area could have done with an extra pair of hands.

not quite sure what happened to the steak - it was tiny!! but my fish and chips were suitably fulfilling!

overall its a safe bet, reasonably priced and has a really good vibe overlooking the canals of birmingham!

this place has both a bar and restaurant with a sophisticated atmosphere. age range is approximately 25+. the view the canal can be seen from the eating area. excellent quality food- i had a pulled pork burger.

great dinner spot for birmingham if you wish to have a lovely evening with drinks. stuff are pleasant and friendly. advice you trying their cocktails and and steak especially rib eye is yummy. place is in the centre of city which will allow you to jump night clubs afterwards. a great warm up place where you can have fun with your friends. rush hours you may not find a place to sit, try making reservation earlier otherwise will end up looking at reserved empty tables.

visited for drinks before and after dinner on a friday evening - was fairly quiet beforehand about 7pm - 8pm but when we returned it was busier. quite a nice chilled atmosphere with good music.

good drinks served and plenty of staff working so not too long to wait to be served.

there was however glass in one of our drinks, which is not too much of an issue but the situation wasn't dealt with as professionally as you as a paying customer would like.

the waiter went on to bite the glass in front of us and informed us it was plastic. i think we can differentiate between glass and plastic. either way it shouldn't be in the drink. the waiter did however, very kindly resolve the issue by replacing the drink which was vodka and tonic, which we gratefully appreciated, but did not ask which vodka we initially ordered and purchased. sometimes attention to detail doesn't go a miss.

great service, waitresses were kind enough but not to invasive and well knowledged with the menu. they have an outdoor area which is great overlooking the canal when the sun is out. food was delicious, i had the duck salad which was probably about a 3/5, my friend however had the tuna steak which was a 5/5. starters were also great and a good selection

although i visited a few years ago, the fact that i remembered the menu, means that the restaurant made a positive impression on me.

i was introduced to bank after coming here for a work event.
i arrived early with my colleague and we were quickly seen to, with our coats put away and led to the bar area to wait. the bar staff were efficient and charming and quickly served us up our cocktails.
the food was delicious, a mixture of small cooked snacks such as sliders, tempura and fries with a high end touch. i only had one helping as by the time i went up for seconds, it was all gone.
i would like to come back one day for a sit down meal, as i was so impressed by the quick time i was there.

the restaurant looks very nice from the outside, however when entering it seemed to be confused about whether it was a restaurant or bar, the music was too loud for a restaurant and the seats where extremely uncomfortable, we arrived for our pre booked table in time for 8pm but we were made to wait till 20 past in the bar area before being seated, i did not expect that from this establishment, the bar man was fantastic while he whipped up a cocktail for my partner, but that was as good as it got i'm afraid, we were seated at a table with more uncomfortable seats ( both of our bums were aching by the end of the meal) we were also in the middle of a passage way and had to be content with people walking past us throughout our meal, when we ordered, our food came quite quickly, but i have to say the standard of the food was purely average, which i was disappointed with because of the money we paid for it was certainly not average! i could have eaten the same quality meal at your standard pub based restaurant and saved myself £50 at least. all in all we had a pleasant evening because we both enjoy going to nice places to eat, but for what we paid i would have to count the restaurant as average, i cannot see us going back anytime soon.

cocktail menu was brilliant, the long haired canadian was even better. smiles, good knowledge and positive attitude. if your in birmingham, it's a must.

the food was goooooooood!

very high class restaurant hence the high price. i went there with a group of 10 for a birthday bash. i provided a cake which they served for me but at a price £5 per person. i was quite shocked to pay £50 for a cake which i paid for.

i like it! enough said :)

didn't try the food but the cocktail barman is second to none! even if its not on the menu.

nice. great place for a relax and wine and dine. good food.
