bangers & lace

the italian beef sandwich is one of the tastiest things i've ever had. it gets a bit crowded, but worth the trip. you can skip the hot dog, though, just double down on the beef.

bangers & lace wicker park is a place that knows all about the simple fact that sausages and beer are two things that go very well together. most people know that ‘bangers’ refers to sausages, but what’s lace? well it refers to the pattern that beer foam leaves on the edge of a glass.

the monster, chi-town bound for his northwestern reunion and the first stop is bangers and lace for some southern inflected/english combo gastro fare and cocktails a plenty. it’s rocking on this night, loud music piercing the skull, pretty wicker park-ites out on the town. 

one of the best chili cheese (fried cheese curds) dogs out there. love this place.

this is part 2 of our trip to chicago--food/beer/fun tuesday featuring oak street beach food drink, revolution brewing, the map room and bangers and lace our tuesday started out by walking the magnificent mile down michigan ave. it was a great way to see the city and some of its amazing cultural and architectural elements. some highlights were millennium park , the john hancock center , and navy pier after doing all this walking, we decided to stop at oak street beach food drink which literally sat on the shore of the lake. even if we had a corona it was worth sitting there, resting and checking out the amazingly clear water of lake michigan. when we walked up and looked at the menu, i was pleasantly surprised to see some pretty cool craft beer offerings. i had a chance to have a pint of port brewing wipeout ipa on draft and then a ska modus hoperandi all while enjoying the beautiful view of the lake! if you take the walk down magnificent mile don't forget about this stop to help quenc

beer lovers across the city will enjoy the wide selection and knowledgeable servers in a fun and unique environment (especially outside in weather like this). the food surprised me for the better and applaud the simplicity of designing a menu focused on two items chicagoans love dearly - beer and dogs/sausages.

there are over 30 draft beers available that focus on regional and seasonal offerings. can't make up your mind? don't worry they offer beer flights. then pair it up with the house chips and share a hot-dog or two and you my friends have want makes for an excellent afternoon. filed under: american , chicago eats & drinks , eat

the brass, thank you!. it is possible to keep eating and drinking at this bar from lunch through dinner. try a couple of these; kielbasa skewers, lamb flat bread, sheboygan (my favorite) or the truffle grilled cheese.
