have been to avenue a couple of times for dinner and brunch and is always a pleasant experience. it's a beautiful restaurant and it's lovely for an early dinner on a summer night. its french style cuisine and the food is pretty good. a bit overpriced but wouldn't expect any less for that location. it tends to get crowded and the service will get on the slower side but the staff is great.

food great, bartenders, not so much.. i have eaten at avenues many times over the years and i am always happy with the restaurant end of the business. beautiful place, well managed. always consistently good, and the service in the restaurant is second to none. my problem is at the bar where the bartenders are robotic and rigid. part of the happy hour experience is the the bartenders, and having them engage in this time. i have frequented every establishment in the area for several years and i'm yet to see that level of no personality anywhere. having owned a restaurant, there is a fine line between being professional and rude. learn to smile and engage, you might actually enjoy your time too. and maybe people won't think about going to sirena instead.

went with my boyfriend for dinner and the tables were so close together that we felt very uncomfortable. the menu didn't have a lot to choose from and the portions were small. disappointing because the atmosphere is beautiful.

avenue is one of our favorite restaurants in the area. whenever janine asks where i would like to go to celebrate a birthday or some other occasion, my answer is always; “why don’t we take a ride down to avenue…” .

food and drinks are good! bartenders are rude. i really enjoy the food here and the drinks are great. if the bartenders didn't treat you like garbage, i would go back there more often.

great drinks and even better food. it has great bar specials with half price drinks. even top shelf is included in this. the apps were awesome and with a real french american twist. the meals were even better with great presentation and tasted unbelievable. its right on the boardwalk by the ocean place so it is always busy in the summer. they don't take reservations so get in and have a few drinks then sit. well worth the wait.

delicious french american!. fabulous food and service...on the beach, beautiful decor, love the cathedral ceilings!! great place for lunch, dinner or cocktails...to dine inside or outside.

french seaside. enjoyed a wonderful lunch today at avenue. they have very nice outdoor seating for lunch/dinner or just drinks. enjoyed a terrific italian tuna sandwich with asparagus, olives, red onion and hard boiled egg on whole grain toast. my friend absolutely loved the lobster roll. we shared a delicious pineapple upside down vanilla-bean cheesecake for dessert. definitely recommend this for a leisurely meal at that beach.
