this place is a nice treat that's close to home. we got three different kinds of gelato, mango peach, lemon, and chocolate. we had fun trying each other's. they were all delicious and i also enjoyed a sample of the celebration cake gelato. the young lady working was very nice. we'll definitely be back!

aunt jeans is the kind of local business that will happily allow you to taste the ice cream types before you buy a cone. the gelato is incredible and the shop is what i believe pre dairy queen or sheridans, forced out of business. also the flavors include some interest in flavors like garlic, dill pickle, caramel see salt, fruity pebbles and you can try them without committing to an entire cone. plus, it has a dice patios for wen weather days. please support this business in old shawnee. you will not be disappointed.

every day is something different. i crave it all the time. aunt jeans is a great homemade place!

gelato heaven!. this place has some of the best gelato i have ever had. the celebration cake flavor is really good. the customer service was also on point. i definitely recommend you give it a shot!

disappointing latt. i was delighted to note that aunt jeans was open for business on sunday morning, and dropped in on the way to church for a skinny latté, my usual choice for an espresso-based drink. seeing that they use beans from the roasterie, i figured it would be fairly good at worst. what i received was pretty tasteless - more like a milk steamer. i wonder if the guy only put one "shot" of espresso in a 16 oz. drink, or if he didn't adequately fill and tap the grounds.

on the bright side, it was an opportunity to discover that they have gelatos available, which they have been trained to make on the premises. i'll be back to try the gelato, but am not sure i'll get an espresso drink again.

best server in the city-and great desserts!. we were helped by the nicest young lady, she was so sweet and gracious. the gelatto and dessert concoctions are fabulous and high quality.

a great gelato shop. my husband and i went to aunt jeans last night for gelato after dinner. we live in lenexa but had been driving all the way to town center to get gelato. i was so excited to find out about aunt jeans a little closer to home. and the place did not dissapoint!

the shop is super cute on the inside and has a nice little patio on the outside. they had a good selection of gelato, but not so much that it was overwhelming trying to choose. "nephew tim" (that's what it said on his shirt) said they have about 200 flavors that they rotate through the case. i had the celebration cake which was a cake batter flavored gelato that tasted amazing. my husband had king's ransom which he liked a lot.

the prices were comparable with any other gelato shop i've been to, maybe even less. our bill was $7.16 for two sugar cones with giant scoops on top. we enjoyed strolling around downtown shawnee while we ate.

i only wish i knew about aunt jeans earlier this summer! we will be back often i'm sure.
