asian grill

fantastic experience!. my fiance and i were visiting dc a few weeks ago, but staying in springfield. we went to asian grill for lunch one day, and we were super impressed! the owner was one of the nicest restaurant owners we have had the pleasure of supporting. he was super friendly, wanted to know about us (he noticed that we weren't his regulars, and there's something to be said about an owner that knows all of his customers). we witnessed him and his staff sing happy birthday to one of their regular families, and they even had a wrapped gift to give the gentleman! tell me that's something that you see at all of your favorite restaurants, and i'll call you a liar! i had the moo-shu pork and it was fantastic, pancakes, hoisin sauce and all. soups were fantastic. it was so refreshing to have great asian food. we live in pittsburgh, and have quite a few options for chinese food that are all disappointing. my only complaint is that their soft drinks are served by the can, rather than fountain. but that is absolutely nothing to stop us from eating here again. next time we're in dc, we are definitely going back to asian grill. springfield should be very proud of the way this business represents their community.

half way through meal my four yr old said i love this place so much! i agreed! owners so friendly, food quite yummy!

best in fairfax!. not that we've tried every chinese restaurant in the county of course, but the food here is consistently excellent and the owner and staff goes out of their way to make you feel welcome. we've been coming here ever since it opened. they have always been glad to make a certain entrée for me, even though it isn't on the menu and requires a fresh wok and oil. moderately priced, but you always know what to expect in quality and taste.

it was not fresh. friendly staff but the food isn't all that good. try tiyaki grill.

our favorite restaurant. we eat at asian grill often not only because it's within walking distance from us, but because it serves great food. the ambience is pleasant, the staff cordeal, the waitresses remember you, the owner chats with you like he's your friend. and we just love that little cinammon desert that they give you at the end of the meal--on house! we tried all the restaurants in the area, but we keep coming to asian grill.

fantastic service and quality of food. we happened upon this place since we were nearby, and we were more than pleasantly surprised when the owner, darren, greeted us so warmly. we had great service by our server maggie, and ordered the mongolian beef and eggplant thai basil (both so flavorful and fresh). they made a minor mistake bringing out two regular wonton soup instead of the house specialty wonton soup for two (no big deal), and since we didn't complain about this at all, we got a great surprise of their famous wonton apple fritters on the house for dessert (or do they usually give these out like fortune cookies?). we definitely will be coming back for more.

fantastic restaurant! wife claims "best garlic chicken i've ever had!". i thought the thai red curry was spectacular - just the right amount of spiciness.

omg! awesome chinese!!. consistantly excellent food and service. owners stop by the tables and actually talk with you if you care to chat. very friendly atmosphere. quality date spot - quiet, nice decor, inexpensive meal at a great price. did i mention great drinks? yep, that too.

amazing!!!. i have had my run-in's with "suspect" chinese resturaunts, but this place blew me away. you get a four star meal at a 2 star price. portions are perfect, and the hospitality is like none other. i am definatley hooked. love the asian grill.

more, please! don't let the strip mall exterior and typical chinese buffet decor fool you! this menu will please even the refined palate. best crab rangoon i've ever eaten in my life, and the thai basil lomein is a one-of-a-kind treat. traditional borring chinese dishes breathe a new life at the asian grill, bringing out flavors and layers never experienced at other hot spots. and the apple cinnamon wonton at the end of the meal is a yummy finish. only critique is that the fortune cookues make absolutely no sense. guess i should have had a mai tai. we'll be back!!!
