before aryaas came to town our favourite place for authentic south indian food used to be a small hole in the wall place called bonanza in bin mahmoud..with aryaas in the al meera (and thanks to the local promoters for bringing this chain to qatar) we got the food we were craving for in a family friendly atmosphere. the south indian breakfast, especially the soft idlis, the tasty chutneys and the thali options (the mini thali could be perfect for the office goer) are all amazing in the daytimewhile if you are there in a bigger group in the evening - ask for the family dosa...we loved it.

with new branches coming up in happening parts of the city - way to go aryaas!

good for quick tiffin like dosa / uttapam / idly
we used to go for tiffin.
but thistimewe sent for a lunch on saturday, we took mini meals and special meals. it was too spicy and too salty. i was not able to finish it. regarding the quantity, you will be happy as they serve rice and side dish as much as you want.
we found a clean place and a friendly staff.

been there a couple of days back. being a friday, we expected a rush during breakfast time. but it was less crowded at thetimewe went.
we had a breakfast tiffin which contained many of the regular stuff except that they are miniature versions of the regular stuff. food was tasty. ambience was good, though the place is a little cramped for space.
one big problem there is the difficulty in getting a parking.
further updates
service has gone down and so have the servings.

only been here for chaat and dosa(evening teatimesnacks).
small outdoor seating perfect for a simple evening catch up over some snacks and karak, when the weather permits.
mysore dosa, sev puri and kachori are a few of my favourites.
they also have an indoor restaurant with full fledge vegetarian meals but have not tried.

one of the few south indian vegetarian restaurants here in qatar. it a small place with simple decor incorporating something similar to homemade fabric designs.
hopefully staff and manager can be friendlier it they give it a try. during most of weekends it's chaotic. they bring in wrong orders, food will be cold, etc.
if it's week days it might be better because there are very few customers for breakfast. so service might be a slightly faster.
lunch service tends to be busy.
now the food part. the dosa's are ok and upon request they will make it crispy. even their puri and vada's are fine. however their assortment of chutneys are not at all consistent and if you ever ask for extras they use a spoon very similar to a teaspoon to serve you, which is quiet annoying.
if you request for tea with main course then almost 90% oftimeyou will get it after you have completed your main course unless otherwise you keep on reminding them.

recommendation: a fair place to have some south indian vegetarian food, might even enjoy if your luck favors you.

we have been there mostly for the breakfast items, found it is overly priced and food taste is mediocre. the lasttimei was there for a kerala sadya and found the food disappointing and not worth the price. only good thiing is the dosas and idlis everything else is so-so or below
