oh yes!
arnies is an excellent place for every occaision to eat together;
intimate or business, family or group events(no additional charges).
it's not uncomfortably formal but i wouldn't feel bad coming in dressed to the t's because the view and service is elegant, yet genuine!
children are always accomodated cheerfully and birthdays and anniversaries are honored with a complimentary dessert.
this spot is passport and entertainment card friendly, but if you don't have one of those, there is always a discount of some kind available. early dinner, happy hour 6 nights per week, and half priced wine two nights a week. as if that's not enough, you can always find a local ad or mailbox flyer coupon to use.
arnies gets booked because of the exquisite dining and there's usually a happy hour wait by 5, even though it starts at 3, so you should start early in the lounge, or make a reservation for the dining room in time for a gorgeous view. it's hard to get a bad seat. a view at every table! the lounge is no dark cavern, in fact, it's where the best view of the ferry terminal and beach can be viewed.
the new chef has an impressive background which reflects well on his presentations and flavors. arnies has menu dishes that have withstood the test of time and are always there as favorites but i highly reccomend trying some of the fresh sheet specials this chef has put together .. halibut that lightly breaks apart with the touch of the fork , moist and delicately laid atop a cous cous or inside of paper pouch! amazing! seafoods, pastas, tender northwest cusine ... i also go because the staff makes me feel at home and pampered. the view is better than their neighbors and in side by side test, i'd be hard pressed to say the fine dining restaurant next door beats arnies... it's just more pleasant at arnies all around.
i always request my favorite table, and will fight for it! -so make a rez!
