a nice change from "the norm".. argenziano's was definitely "above average".

four of us went out there tonight.

3 of us started with soup, one had a salad. the italian wedding soup was delicious, and went well with a piece of garlic cheese bread. our table shared some fried zucchini and it was also delicious. the salad had more toppings than a lot of other restaurants in the area, and was fresh.

as for entrees...

one had meat lasagna... his verdict is that he's had it before and would definitely order it again.
second had the portobello mushroom ravioli... she has had it before and would order it again.
third was a european house guest, and had plain fettuccine alfredo (no meat added) and enjoyed it.
i had fettuccine alfredo with chicken, and it was good. the sauce could've had a bit more "zip" from garlic and/or other seasonings added in, but overall i enjoyed it.

the portions are large, and 3 out of 4 had leftovers to take home. lunch tomorrow will be easy!

the building was a convenience store in a couple of previous incarnations, which i grew up going to as the old roadrunner market. high ceilings, hard floors, very open dining room. the acoustics are pretty noisy because of that, so be prepared to ask your dining partners to repeat themselves if there are a lot of other diners. the decor is nothing fancy, but everything was clean (including the women's restroom). the staff was friendly and efficient. the prices are a tad high for the area, in my opinion, but for a change from the "norm", i would recommend it. i'll have to try the pizza next time, perhaps "to go" on a weeknight when i don't feel like cooking!

it's ok. given your options, the food is simply ok. i probably wouldn't come back if there were more options in corona -- the food is overpriced, bland and the service leaves something to be desired. merely an overprice pizza joint covering as fine italian dining.

horrible experience. not only did they forget my salad and an order of fries..my first bite of spaghetti contained someone's fingernail!! so disgusting! i should have gone to mama louisa's!!

i'm a local...2 miles from them...would love to be able to eat here more. we just tried a pizza and the garlic with cheese toast...pizza, excellent, if that's not homemade sauce i'd be shocked! and a great price...get the large, wonderful next a.m. meal ;)
the garlic/cheese toast was good...i think its over priced, but i will buy it again...as my hubs loved it. nice people..always busy it seems on the weekends..go early!

poor service & loud. poor service, rude help, no seperate checks, charge for another plate.

corona de tucson. the salad and bread were great. i went cheap for the spaghetti and meat balls. which was okay. but the pizzas at the other tables looked delish. i coming back for one of those - yummy.

first time here. had lasagna with meat sauce. oh. my. !
fantastic food and service was fast and friendly even though it was busy! i would definitely come back! other vail area restaurants need to take some lessons here. atmosphere is simple but adequate. not fancy but food is worth it!

spend your money some where else!. this restaurant was a big disappointment. we live about 10 minutes away so were really hoping it'd work out being it's so convenient. my husband and i decided to eat here last night on our date night. we walked in the door and stood around for a minute without anyone recognizing us. when someone did notice we were waiting, they yelled at us across the dining room. no joke. we were seated and then had to wait another 5-10 minutes to have our drink order taken. i ordered lemonade and quickly found out they serve something with an artificial sweetener (allergic). our dinner salads came minutes before our meal. the italian dressing was horrible… so much garlic it was too spicy to eat. the roll they give you with dinner was a joke. i watched them take it out of the fridge, which explains why it was cold, rock hard and dry. i couldn't even spread butter on it it was so crumbly. i ordered the chicken fettuccine alfredo which was pricey ($16) and bland. my husband ordered the stuffed ravioli with roasted garlic & shrimp and stated it was "okay". while my husband was asking the waitress for a spoon & another "roll", another waitress came up, interrupted him mid sentence and started having her own conversation with our waitress. and our waitress proceeded to have a conversation with her, making my husband wait until they were done. rude. we witnessed another waitress do some sort of booty shaking dance in front of everyone. didn't know i was paying for a show with dinner. you can see the "chefs" in the back cooking and i witnessed two young boys (maybe 18-20) cooking the orders in between texting and joking around. also, be warned that there are two kids running around this restaurant. i'm pretty sure they are one of the owner's kids. it was 8pm when we left and at that point the one year old had been screaming her head off. we left our two young kids at home to get away from temper tantrums and little did i know it's normal around argenziano's. the restaurant was also very loud and crowded. needless to say… we will not be going back anytime soon and will warn our friends in vail not to bother.

really great food!. this is the only restaurant in corona de tucson. it could have so easily been a dump but happily it is terrific. the fet. alfredo is a big enough portion for 4, the sausage and peppers are the same portion, the calzone is foodgazmik and the pizza is first rate. the service is wonderful and the people are friendly. italian home cooking at its' best!

unbelievable food. the pizza is amazing but have had the pizza for years when they were rays pizza in tucson. but they took homemade italian food to the next level. everything is fresh. the italian dressing is to die for i wish they would bottle it up and sell it. and the seafood soup is better than i've had anywhere in the world!!!!!!!! a++++++++ for argenzianos

the only place around...and gladly so. argenziano's is the only restaurant within 15 miles of my home, and i'm quite glad that it's the one. the overall design of the business has some very detestable flaws, such as the restricted space and noisiness of other patrons, however, they make up for the unpleasantries with sensational food and quick service. although the place has is faults (and what place doesn't), it is well worth the 5 mile drive.

love the place and especially the house salad dressing. this place is a great italian eatery! simpe with very little of the ambience of a high end place.. but this is a smack dab wonderful place to eat italian food!

their house salad dressing is an italian vinaigrette with a load of fresh chopped garlic. so good you'll never have to tell a soul you've eaten it for the next week.. they'll smell ya coming! awesome food of the roman gods!

we've stopped going there.. but will return. they have a patron who is a regular visitor that is obnoxious and unpleasant. she's been there the last four out of five times.. so we're waiting for her to go somewhere else! sad.. but true.

however, we are seriously considering the long drive and getting our meals to go.. and doing it that way!

great food.. but tight tables and a bad guest can ruin your meal too..
