tuck in a strip mall is a low key japanese restaurant that screams fresh and very fresh fish is the new movement for what we should expect when visiting a japanese restaurant. this is my new number one choice when dining at a japanese restaurant on long island. there is not much more to say but i only like to thank my friend ken for referring me to this restaurant.

best sushi on long island. i drive 18 miles just to get the unique flavor of the arata style sushi. they have an amazing fusion of tastes in each roll, and it's an adventure to see what they will come up with next. very exciting place to eat. quaint atmosphere, and fairly priced. the service is excellent, and the specials are delicious. wouldn't go anywhere else on long island.

it’s west village quaint, welcoming and the food is astoundingly good, taking sushi creations to an even higher level than another place that begins with a “k” (umo…no, i’m not bitter). the nice servers walk you through the menu items, making helpful suggestions for a full experience.

best sushi on long island bar none. the arata style sushi should not be missed. you will get different types of sushi with a delicious topping/sauce on top on each. each piece of sushi is tastier than the one before it. it so delicious and fresh. while a little pricey it so worth it.
