okay, okay, for shame. i am such a bad citizen of garden grove. i have lived here almost all of my life except for when i was too young to remember and when i went off for college for four years, and i had never eaten at apollo. i mean, my friends went here all the time in high school but i never had money back then. i accompanied them once but didn't eat. i never craved going back after that time, but once i came back in the area, i realized just how much duc loved it. so, of course, i kept my secret away from him until recently...so of course, after much glaring from his angered eyes, we went off to get a bacon cheeseburger. he admitted in  the car that it wouldn't be a good burger in comparison to the ones we've had recently but the nostalgia played a huge role in the overall experience for him. i never had those fond old memories so i could only judge it for what it was. i

it's always good to ride my bike there when i have enough money for brunch because it's close to this old neighborhood. the steak and eggs is usually good but i try other dishes also.

there's a reason why we got recommended to go here by the locals!

this place was an older styled traditional diner type setting the meals came out quick and we're inexpensive, massive and delicious.

i got the teriyaki chicken dinner, which was grilled chicken breast, rice and salad. a bit more of a healthy option compared to some of the other delicious menu items.

my brothers got triple bacon cheeseburgers which looked absolutely amazing. the meat is cooked on a grill that looks like it has been used for years, which means there's plenty of flavour infused in everything it touches.

my meal was so good i got 3 extras to go, because i'm travelling and i'd like to have some good old chicken and rice in my fridge ready to be heated up at will.

highly suggest going here with the family or a group of friends and getting some great food without hurting the wallet at all!

we will definitely recommend apollo burger to our friends back in aus!

a pleasantly surprising "mom n pop" burger joint!. apollo burgers will certainly not blow you away...

oh yeah their menu is quite expansive, but the food is pretty straight forward and while it does not reach the level of greatness; it is certainly pretty good and will more than sate you if you are hungry and in the area.

the inside and the decor are quite dated...think a cleaned set from the 70s, but don't let that deter you.

there is plenty of seating inside in the form of older yet comfy booths.

there is also plenty of parking in this strip mall location.
