we were in house guest and took breakfast and dinner buffet. i will give 4 out of 5 to breakfast. variety of dishes with good taste. staff was very helpful specially a lady name roomi. she was very helpful.
i will give 2 out of 5 to dinner buffet. taste wasnt good at all. need lots of improvement. salads and main course options were limited and taste wsnt good. i am giving 2 rating only because staff were helpful. i have been to different buffet restaurants and charm is always live stations, grills and salad options. no live stations, bad taste of grill items not juciy and chicken was very hard, and very limited salad options. i hope management read this and take appropriate step. in marjan island there are not many options for food so guest had to take in house restaurants..

we were in house guest in this hotel and took a buffet here. the place was nice and served international buffet. they also have an outdoor seating arrangement across the outdoor swimming pool. the food was tasty. pricing is average and overall a good experience.

amazing lunch and breakfast buffet there with the family. a special thanks to chef hamza who ensured all our needs were fulfilled. very professional chef and team and delicious dishes especially the fish and the semit turkish bread. thumbs up!

we did full board at our stay at in the hotel and had breakfast, lunch & dinner at this restaurant.

it has lovely views and outside seating is near the pool area so can get a bit noisy.

they do a buffet and offer a variety of cuisines but it’s very similar every time especially the desserts & salads.

service is hit & miss with having to ask for things a few times.

we took buffet lunch at al liwan. we were 3 persons who were all vegetarian. the chef made 1-2 dishes especially for us because there were lack of options in vegetarian menu. the food was good. and the staff was friendly too.

stayed at the resort for couple of days and had breakfast. quite a decent spread and covers most of the requirements. 
there is no live egg station unless they open the other restaurant. the karak tea is quite good and the sausage options are limited.
service was good and the outlet manager was very hospitable.

during our stay in al marjan resort n spa in ras al khaimah we had our breakfast there...
average breakfast nothing so special i can specifically talk about...food was ok..buffet spread was nice...
u have many options to eat...overall a good experience...
on the other side i do not recommend anyone to go there for stay..coz staying there was not a good experience though...

this was my first ever visit to the marjan island resort & spa located on marjan island to attend a corporate dinner gathering at the liwan restaurant.

dinner was at 8pm on a weekday but the restaurant wasn't that full so it served our purpose. initially we were seated outside but the elements (strong winds) forced us to go back indoors although the outdoor seating had a nice view of the pool.

seating area was spacious but i can imagine the restaurant being a bit difficult to negotiate on a busy breakfast service when the hotel is at a decent capacity.

dinner was the usual buffet. salad bar was ok with some decent raw and cooked salads. nice range of dips and breads. main course was limited to a few dishes but well prepared ones. loved the fish dishes and there was also a live pasta cooking counter.

desserts were ok, wish they had more options. the waiting staff were excellent and very prompt. overall it was a decent experience and i enjoyed it more than a similar dinner at the hilton garden inn.

beautiful interiors, good staff service and nice ambience. seating arrangements are neat and quick service too. ordered the following from al liwan:

1. mix green salad : great in taste - 4/5
2. chicken tikka masala : average in taste, neatly presented - 3.5/5
3. paneer masala : i didn't like it all. it had a weird taste. not the usual paneer masala taste - 2/5
4. shish tawouk : good in taste - 3.5/5
5. chicken bbq: loved it - 4.5/5
6. pizza bbq : thumbs up ! 👍🏻👍🏻 - 4.5/5

we ordered for parathas, and they dont serve parathas, but the chef said he would cook it for us, but the frozen parathas was served to us. but i'm not taking this into consideration since they don't have it in the menu and prepared it for us on our request. our breakfast was also from this restaurant and it was buffet. the buffet ranged from fruits to baked beans, scrambled eggs etc. this was during our two nights stay at marjan island resort and spa. a one time restaurant to try.

nice set up...the service was quick...we ordered the chicken biryani and beef curry...authentic taste ...however, i would've given a 5/5 if there would've been more variety in the main course...special thanks to mr nawas who was very kind and hospitable and made sure we had a good dining experience...also thanks to chef biswash for the lovely macaroons!! they were yumm!! :)

had a nice lunch boufet with work colleagues and we enjoyed the place

the hotel is very nice and the view from the swimming opposite the restaurant was stunning

first day of buffet bfast was really not good. super crowded,most of the food dishes are empty,no coffee cups,no staff to clean the tables,the manager seems clueless on what was happening,until one guest complained.
though the varieties are acceptable.
for dinner buffet, less choices and varieties of food. they said it was continental but they focused more on middle eastern and indian cuisine.
i guess the problem is the choices of food and the readiness during busy times.

lovely food for lunch and very good for dinner.
