sit and chill. this is a great place to "sit and chill". noone bothers you as you sit and have a nice cup of coffee and either people watch or read one of the coffee table books that are laid out for you to enjoy (this is a great touch!) and the coffee is great!

one precaution... if you're not drinking coffee, you can't just come and sit. they get really pushy. i had come to this place weekly with my boyfriend - he would get an espresso and me, water with a palmier. never an issue. i wanted to show the place to my famiy one day when we made a pit stop before going to a houston festival - 2 of us were drinking, the other 3 were not... the place was empty and not even 5 minutes after we sat down, we were told that if we're not drinking, we'd have to leave.

i could understand if the place was packed, standing room only - but seriously? we weren't even finished with the espresso nor hot tea. so we had to gulp down the drinks and leave because my parents (softspoken and meek) were feeling like an obstacle)

the chi tea here is the best iv ever had hands down!!! great chill spot too

i love this place. one of the few food venues in houston i insist on taking friends and visitors to. outstanding coffee, great atmosphere, free wi-fi, wide drink selection, and great people watching.

sip on your drink of choice and relax.. this is a great place to relax and meet new people. i used to go to the 24-hour starbucks in the galleria, but agora is much more relaxed and intimate.

they're open until 2am, so you can get started early on your caffeine buzz. or your alcohol buzz, if you'd rather have it that way. they have a great selection of greek wine as well, not to mention a decent beer case.

they also have belly dancers perform every wednesday!

very euro. the bar has a very bohemian, european flair. it is a cool place to chill with friends and chat about literature or your next blog idea. euro-style, not your thing? keep moving!

great coffee space. first of all, lots of good coffee. the space is very cozy and pretty dim at night. the jukebox is awesome - lots of blues and jazz and miscellaneous international music. the building is an old house converted into a coffee space with an interesting greek themed decor. cozy up to a book or play a board game with some friends.

good chill place. great place to have a cup of coffee or a glass of wine, either with a friend or alone with a book. the jukebox has some interesting selections, if you're curious.
