this place has great portion sizes, fair prices and has a cool coffee shop feel to it. great place for a last minute lunch pickup. support local, check this place out!

the wraps and panini's are really good from here. coffee is great as well. my only gripe is the $0.50 take out charge on coffee. i understand charging it for a meal, but i feel like they should either not charge it or just add it to the price of the coffee.

the place looks very hip inside. the coffee is excellent. the menu is also very interesting with a combination of wonderful paninia and middle eastern foods such as filafel and zaatar. they also tell me that they have occasional middle eastern buffets for lunch and dinner. i did not get the chance to try the food and will plan to return for that. service was great. the one down side: they close too early (like around 6, depending on the day).

abstractions is hands down one of my favorite restaurants to visit while in regina. it's a family owned establishment and they really go the extra mile to make you feel special when you eat there. it's really nice to visit in the summer when you can sit on the patio and hear the breeze rustling the trees and feel the warm sun on your face while noshing on some of regina's best vegetarian food. i ordered the vegetarian grilled focaccia sandwich with no cheese and no mayo. the owner who was taking my order was quick to offer their homemade hummus to be used in place of the cheese and mayo to help bind the sandwich together. the sandwich came with their vegetarian lentil soup. this was one of the best vegetarian meals i've ever had at a restaurant. it was so good that i dream about it. everything was so flavorful and made with care. my dining companion ordered the falafel wrap and the lentil soup. he also really enjoyed his meal. his wrap came with the tahini sauce as well. we both though

great food with one but. absolutely great food and latte's. try to pop in there whenever in regina. however last time i went there in the morning at the time of opening 9am- the door was closed and nobody answered the phone either. waited 15 minutes and it did not open. they just lost a possibility of catering for group of people. having said that, maybe there was a good reason, this does not disqualify the quality and flavourful food and coffees they prepare.

delicious. basically the best cafe in regina. i love the food and the service. this place makes my day, i would go everyday if i could. had the best tomato-melt and apple latte of my life. and the pasta salad was so amazing that i wanted to buy it in bulk.
small and family owned, so if your food takes longer it's because there is very small staff. but you can taste the love, so it's totally worth it.

a nice little place. probably going to be my go-to place for a good sandwich and soup/salad. food is good, drinks are good, and the guy who (i think) owns it, is a really nice fellow. perhaps a little on the slow side, but the atmosphere is nice and more than makes up for the pace of service. you should go at least once just to check it out.

very, very slow service. i've been quite a few times before and we would get our food quite quickly (we were the only two there) but this last time there were about 5 or 6 people there and it took an hour and a half to get our food. incredibly unacceptable considering it does not take an hour and a half to make a panini! great food but awful service.

good food. service is meh. i went here for lunch the other day as my office is nearby and i was curious. i went in and stood in line for a solid 10 minutes and placed my order. a generic wrap from their menu and a pasta salad.

my order was placed at approximately 12:15. as i have an hour for lunch i figured that would be no problem.

wrong.

i waited until 12:50 with no sign of food, no one apologized for taking that long and i was not spoken to by the wait staff. i went up to the front counter (butted in front of people, sorry) and asked that my order be made "to go".

waited a further 5-10 minutes and finally got it.

aside from the horribly long wait there was obvious favouritism going on. members of the owner's family showed up after i did and they received food before i did. perhaps they arranged it, but it was still frustrating after waiting 40 + minutes for mine.

perhaps it would be a good supper outing, or a place to go when you have nothing else to do that day but if you're looking for somewhere to go for lunch....i would skip this place.

it's okay. not one of my favourite spots, have had a few meals and the food is pretty good but there is not much selection.
