a slice of new york

apparently this place is sort of legendary. my friend tells me that lunch is a mob scene during the week and there’s often a line down the sidewalk for a slice.

great customer service. a slice of new york on stevens creek has the friendliest staff! they definitely go above and beyond what is to be expected from a pizza place. i will never eat any other pizza again! not to mention their garlic knots are to die for! i recommend them to everyone! love love love asony! :)

during a late night drive to oakland, i made a stop in san jose at a slice of new york. they call the place the “right pizza…left coast!” pretty good. notice the grease spilling on the plate. that’s a welcome sign in my book. as were the police officers visiting right at closing time.

tastes like home!. thank heaven "a slice of new york" (asony) is here. i left brooklyn/queens 34 years ago and i've been searching since for the perfect slice. found it! this place is awesome. pizza by the slice and yes, it's really ny pizza; not the "ny pizza" your friends from ca tell you to try that leaves you horribly disappointed (or nauseous). nope. this is the real thing! the garlic knots are an added bonus, and so are the cannoli's. they also have sicilian pizza, too. ah.... home sweet home.

soggy crust way to much grease

a slice of new york serves up authentic new york style pizza in the middle of the silicon valley. definitely the best stuff we have tasted down here. they are closed on mondays.

the sutton (dish review). simplicity in it's most elegant form is a meat pizza. the sutton has house made sausage and fresh mushrooms, and that's it. there is little need for anything more, as those two ingredients make this pie rival any other. also, at a cost of four dollars a slice - and two coming with a complimentary soda, this pizza is a deal by anyone's standards.

the city (dish review). ah, the wonders of pizza. this particular pizza is covered in olives, sausage, pepperoni, veggies, and mushrooms. it is the perfect pie. think of a costco combo, only ten times better, including fresh ingredients and a crispy, beautifully-thick crust. that comparison does it disservice, but what better way to visual something than a comparison?

a slice of new york (pizza/italian). a slice of new york lives up to it's name. everything from floor to ceiling creams "new york!!!". that is not meant as an analogy or cute literary line, but as fact. their fifteen-foot ceilings are covered in pictures of nyc's subways, skyline and food.

the visual attraction ends there, but the fun has just begun for a customer. following that, they will experience excellent service and top-caliber food. the city slice is my personal favorite, with the sutton a close second. the first of the two sports sausage, pepperoni, olives, and vegetables, while the latter features simply sausage and mushrooms. both are a mere four dollars for a colossal slice. two will fill you up, and a drink is free with the pair.

a slice of new york is san jose's premier stop for an east-coast triangle of heaven, and may even knock off growing juggernauts such as bocca lupo (a traditional italian version). you just don't know what you're missing.

the latter pizza is almost as good, but is one i find nearly too bland. the strong meat flavor hits you from the start. following it comes more and more mushroom. the sutton is finished off with a perfect crust that is crispy to the touch, but soft in the center. there is nothing better than folding your pizza in half and hearing the crunch of the edge as it breaks in half. both are a mere four dollars for a colossal slice. two will fill you up, and a drink is free with the pair.

best pizza in san jose, very friendly and will never be disappointed.

excellent quality pizza! thin cust with many different toppings to chose from. small joint but has huge taste! the combination pizza was very flavorful. very nice people behind the counter too.

amazingly good pizza, this little shop is my absolute favorite new york style pizza. the crispy, thin crust folds well and has wonderful flavor. for dessert, if you're still hungry, the (omg it's huge) cannolli is made fresh and is to die for.
